What started off as a conversation about free speech, Section 230, Elon Musk's Twitter buy, and the antitrust solutions to social media censorship became an energetic debate about the nature of American exceptionalism, identity politics, & patriotism vs afro pessimism. Matt Stoller, anti-monopoly expert behind the substack BIG & author of Goliath: The Hundred Year War Between Monopoly Power and Democracy returns to the pod for a fun and unexpectedly rigorous debate.
