everybody? How's everybody doing? Happy Wednesday. Happy mid-March or past mid-March. I'm all fucked up

because when you guys are hearing this, I will be in Texas. I will be at, I almost said Fantastic

Fest. Jesus, the travel anxiety is setting in. I will be at South by Southwest,

so I am filming this episode super in advance. I'm actually filming this before I film the Ring

episode, but I can't wait to go to South by and tell you guys all about it in next week's

episode when I'm back and filming in real time. But for today, I don't have anything to update

you on because any movies

I've seen, I did see a couple movies that will have been in the update for The Ring episode.

So for that reason, I don't really have much to say in this opening other than I love you. And let's

get into one missed call. We're talking about one missed call today. And this is another Japanese horror film

that was remade into an American remake. And the interesting thing is when we talked about The Ring,

I told you guys about how that is the movie, like the 2002 American remake, is the movie that

kind of kicked off the craze of American remakes of these Asian horror films.

So we got the ring and then we got the grudge and then we got Pulse, we got dark water,

and then we got one missed call.

And one missed call is actually kind of the one that ended the remake craze because the remake is not good. And I'm saying the

remake is not good, but just know that I still love it because that is a very special movie to me.

I remember seeing it in the theater. It was like it fucked up my friends. Like the ringtone was

everywhere. Like I remember that time and for that reason I love it for nostalgia

purposes, but like looking at it objectively, it's a bad movie. Okay. So it and it was so bad that it's

what ended the craze. Like it single-handedly ended the remake craze. Everybody was like,
