I'm Hello and welcome back to another episode of the Year of Plygamy podcast.

0:31.1

I'm your host, Lindsay, and we are back.

0:34.3

Yes, I know the episodes are getting a little bit more sporadic, but I have been focusing on another project right now, the Sunstone Mormon history podcast, where my co-host Brian Buchanan and I, we go over all of the Mormon history. We're basically doing with Mormon history, what we've done with this podcast, which is tell the chronological history of Mormonism as best we can. And we bring on

the most amazing top scholars in their field. And you should check it out at sunstone.org. So

1:01.1

that is why these are getting less and less frequent. But I'm not giving up on the podcast yet.

1:07.6

1:51.0

Why did you choose this topic for your master's thesis?

1:56.0

Well, you know, I got into graduate school at BYU, and I'd always, it was pretty hard to come up with a subject.

2:07.8

I'd always tried to keep, you know, Mormon history was always my largest interest, but, you know, there's not a whole lot of places to go if that's your main

2:19.9

interest. So I was trying to find some that could do Mormon history along with something a little

2:25.6

broader. And so, you know, when I was at the University of Utah for my bachelor's degree, I did my,

2:31.7

I did it on Topaz and Citizens of Utah's relations with the Japanese during that,

2:37.6

during the internment time. The reason I had chosen that was that kept, I could still do a little
