welcome to episode 17 of oral presentations titled The History and Introduction to Arc Welding.

We're to do a shop class one.

I got a real soft spot for this topic.

So I wanted to do the history and introduction of welding in general, but my welding knowledge is so limited before I started on this research, and then less

than a third of the way through, I was like, Jesus Christ, there's so much to this.

This is a massive massive complicated technical field but I didn't want to give up on it I

really like the topic so I narrowed it down to the history and

introduction to arc welding now I did I have I did work at a body shop for like about three years a little bit more

and when I started I had no zero skill.

I had zero any technical skill and I don't have a craft brain. I didn't even know that I didn't have the right kind of brain to do that kind of work. But I did know, so the way that I got started on that and I'm explaining why I love welding so much and I'm going to be a dork this whole fucking episode because I really do have a soft spot for this type of work and I didn't know it until I was older, right?

So I was like 25 living with my girlfriend at the time on

Kristen Street in Philly and I remember we got a thing of IKEA like just draw it like I think it was like drawers or shelves or some shit right so we brought it

home laughing and stuff and then I was 25 like I go to like start building it

and then I just like just give up and leave it I didn't

even say anything and then she ended up like building it and then as she was

building it like I remember I walked up and I wasn't really thinking what was

happened I walked up I was like had you like want something to drink or something?

And then I realized that I was doing the hack thing of like a woman getting her

man a lemonade as he's walking, like working on something.

And I know that like, look, at at 20-20 you're not supposed to have

any sort of like I don't even know if you're supposed to think like that but I
