We left off last time with Captain Thomas Pound,

relieved of his command in the Royal Navy and so recently turned pirate captain.

When we left off, he had a crew made up of other former Navymen combined with scoundrels and scalywags.

They were on board a newly captured Ketch just off the coast of Falmouth, Maine.

You'll recall that Thomas Pound, loyal, Royal Navy Captain, lost his job in the wake of the glorious revolution, and he booked passage

on board the ship of one Thomas Hawkins. Then he commandeered the ship only to have Hawkins join his

crew, then Pound captured an armed merchant kett. the ship only to have Hawkins join his crew.

Then Pound captured an armed merchant catch and released their crew,

except for the ship's boy who spoke French,

they were reportedly going to attack the French in the West Indies and the ship's doctor.

Then that doctor assisted the pirates.
