Welcome to Trust and Believe. Today, I'm very, very excited, simply because I have in the house, who I like to call My Superman. I know some people might think that's very, very funny or it's weird, but welcome Jay Maranac. Jay, I found on Instagram. I like to say I found him on Instagram. I found him on

Instagram as I was scrolling. And a lot of times you come across fitness people or people doing really

amazing things. But, you know, as I started to look at your page, I was like, there's much more to

this guy than him being able to carry a million pounds up a rope.

And so, you know, I looked a little deeper into who you are.

And so I wanted to have you on because I know you have a transformation story.

So I'm going to get right into it.

Even though you've developed a great program like the functional method and you work out every single day and you're showing people how strong

you are externally. I want to know that moment in your life where you said to yourself,

I need to make a change to better myself. Yeah. I mean, first off, thanks for having me.

You know, I've been following you for a while, man, just so just to be here, be with you.

I finally get to meet you in person and just chat, man. This is really awesome. Thanks, man. I'm very grateful. Of course. Yeah, you know, it goes back to when I was 20 years old, about 20 and a half. There's a lot more story before that. But to give it the brief of it, I was at a place in my life, again, 20 and a half, I was

completely unemployable. I was living out of my cars, all my belongings, everything,

it's stuffed in my trunk, living from couch to couch, at friend's houses and things like that.

I was heavily addicted to drugs. I was smoking crack, taking large amounts of pills, large amounts

of hallucinogenic drugs, LSD, ecstasy, I was just doing everything.
