Hello everyone, and welcome to the Stephen Kingcast One Man's Musings on the Works of Stephen King.

Each week I'll review one entry in the bibliography of Stephen King and the chronological order of publication.

And what I'm reviewing today is the film adaptation of the short story, the much beloved, it turns out, short story,

the mangler, the short story itself was published

in the pages of Night Shift,

Stephen King's first collection of short stories.

And I have begun my revisitation

of the stories within Night Shift back when the Stephen King cast

first launched and I was making my way through the chronological order publication.

You know, I got to the 1978 publication of Night Shift. I reviewed some of the short stories,

not all the short stories. I've since gone back. You can find my reviews of the rest of the stories in Night Shift Part 2. And seeing as how I've reviewed all of the short

stories, I have then gone on to begin reviewing all of the film adaptations of the short stories found

within Night Shift, which brings us to today, I'll be talking about the mangler, and

fittingly enough, I just want to point out if you hear some noise in the background, as you

might know, I do the podcast for most of the time in my basement, and I currently am doing a load

of wash. So I think that that is an appropriate background noise when talking about the mangler.
