like super serious right before the show. The real show starts so that I could let you know about

this very important, very serious thing, which in this case is actually kind of a big deal for us.

to lie to you. Could have gone a little better, hoping that because the show got posted a little

late, maybe that was part of it. Also, some of you are just taking your sweet time to help support

our show. It could also be a possibility. The website, as you probably know, because you're listening

support. You can do all kinds of different payment plans and name your amount and all kinds of

things like that. I wanted to take a moment here. We're going to get to the show in a second. Don't

worry. To kind of talk about what a preposterous idea TBTL is. Preposterous because we can't believe

that any of you would listen to a show that we do and then also preposterous because our business

model is to buy all of this equipment, rent an office, pay for all of these special studio lines,

and then do the show five days a week and then hope at the end of all of it, some internet

strangers decide out of the goodness of their hearts to help us make it possible. And if there's

anything that you know about the internet, it's that internet strangers are not usually your friend.

And yet this whole thing is built on the idea that you, internet strangers, who most of us haven't

met most of us being the staff of the show, that you guys are going to recognize that you like the

show that the show is something you use day in and day out and that like any other subscription,

you know, whether it's HBO or a magazine or the newspaper or a cup of coffee that you get
