Hi, I'm Renee Hunter Vasquez. Hi, I'm John Paul Vasquez. This week, we're

broadcasting live from a cabin in the woods discussing the 2013 horror film, Evil Dead. This film

was directed by Fede Alvarez from a screenplay by Alvarez in Rodeosegas based on Sam Ramey's

1981 horror classic, The Evil Dead. Evil Dead brings an entirely new cast of characters to a

familiar cabin in a reimagining of the story we all know and love. Rather than attempt to

recreate its predecessor, this film diverges from the set path in a variety of interesting ways,

including a massive shift in tone from previous franchise entries, but all the while paying

tribute to where it came from.

With committed performances, Grizzly Special Effects, and memorably gruesome set pieces,

Evil Dead would go on to become a box office success and gain the admiration of many horror fans.

I don't remember exactly.

I know that we didn't see it in the theaters.

But I remember after watching it the first time, I, I know that I really liked the movie,

but I didn't realize how much I liked the movie.

And then I watched it again, and I was like, I really, really, really like this movie.
