There's been some movement in all things comedy.

So I'm in like one of my favorite places on the planet with two of my very favorite people.

And somebody knew that I've met recently. So I've known for a while. Ryan Dune is here. He's my guest today. Hello, everybody. My name is Ryan. Good to be here. Thank you for having me, Lana. Ryan, it's good to hang out with you. We actually spent a lot of time with each other recently because we went on tour together. But the studio we're sitting in, this is the studio where I recorded,

Limeyed the studio where I recorded,

Limeade the album that I've just recently put out.

And I spent over a year coming in here

and recording and crying on that couch right there.

And Norm helped me make all those tears into comedy,

which is actually really empowering. Totally. I know. You got to hear some of the songs when we were on tour live. And, Lana, may I interject? Where is Limeade available? It's so cheesy. I'm not, like, I mean, it's really good. I'm really proud of it. But, like, obviously, like, iTunes or iTunes or whatever, but like, yeah, or free on Stitcher. Oh, was it? Spotify. Spotify. Yeah. You need it for free. So like, I'm not, I mean, obviously I want people to buy it because hello. But I mean, I want people to listen to it and love it more than anything else. Um, because like, it was really, it was really cool. Um, Isn't this a cool place?

This is a place. Okay, so I mean, Laurel Canyon, where we are right now, is like a music place.

I mean, like this is, I remember one time we were recording one of the songs and Norman left the door open because he was like, I want the Canyon to

come in, like the sounds. Like if there's like a bird chirping in the background, nobody's going to register that in the audio, but it's there. It's like part of the, the kind of the grittiness of what you can get out of it. Because so many amazing musicians, I mean, I think there's like two music studios just on this little street alone.

Really? Okay. So I've been in LA for two years and I didn't know that Laurel Canyon was amazing musicians. I mean, I think there's like two music studios just on this little street alone.

Really? Okay. So I'm, I've been in L.A. for two years and I didn't know that Laurel Canyon was somewhat of a hub. I knew it was here. I knew it was a canyon. They were like Canyon obsessed up here. Like people, I just feel like it's so cool. When I first moved to L.A., I stayed in my friend's guest house in Laurel Canyon, and I was going to stay there until I found an apartment. And it was amazing view and stuff. My cat loved it. Lounging by the pool. Did your cat, like, had a place, like, did your cat, like anywhere? Or does it? Yeah, she'll like anything. I think it's a cat. Okay, too-shay. This is actually terrifying for cats a little bit because there's coyotes up here. Exactly. So there's a lot of cat death up in the canyon. She, my cat Ralph, it's a girl with the guy's name. I like it. It's 2016. Why do you name your cat Ralph? I was living in Boston and there was this alley cat, a street cat, pretty much a kitten, who would come visit me, and I'd be like, hey, it's my buddy Ralph. I didn't really consider her sex. Oh, you didn't know it was a girl cat? No, it's a calico. I later learned that all calicoes are female, or like 99% of calico cats are female. I did not know that. Yep, well, the internet told me. because like, catical cats. Yeah, right? I posted pictures of like, this is my cat Ralph. Isn't she great? And everyone was like, oh, Calico's... This is online. Calico cats are female, idiot. You should have to know, man. Yeah, right? You have to know this useless information. Well, I feel so much smarter now that when I see a talical cat, I'll know it's gender.

Yeah, you can respect their sex.

But the gender is up to them because it's 2016 and gender is a choice and you better

fucking respect it.
