And I'm going to read it excerpt.

I have walked streets with a slow drag limp, teetering on the spindles of two high heels,

slapping pavement with flat feet and fallen arches,

somewhere between strut and stroll, saunter and stagger.

I have yelled into caverns of silence, too sweet to rage, too composed to sweat,

too frozen to flee, too shadow to appear.

I have swallowed disappointment with like savory regret,

lined my throat with discontent,

hinged my belly with simmering intuition, digested buttered bone and salted burden.

I have splintered my spine to read a room, lowered my gaze to disguised as comfort,

counted ceiling tiles and carpet squares to disappear,
