Summary

Lifegiving parenting is not about changing the culture we live in but about being a counterculture to it. It's not about creating a comfortable Christian subculture insulated from the surrounding world; rather, it's about being the kind of lifegiving home culture that will stand as a testimony of God's biblical design for family to a lost world whose sandy foundations are washing away.

0:45.2	able to do this book launch. We've been getting so many letters and emails and Instagram posts
0:50.6	and boy we are grateful for you, all the people who are spending the word about our new
0:54.3	book, the life giving parent. And today Clay is going to be interviewing one of the men that we
1:02.0	so respect from all of the vast work that he has done in parenting before. And I get to be a
1:09.4	little bit part of it, but Clay why don't you introduce our wonderful guest today? Sure, well we
1:13.8	are really, really privileged to have with us Scott Taransky, who has been involved in Christian
1:21.7	parenting ministry for a long time, about the same time that we have I think, I believe Scott started
1:27.9	in the early 90s, he can confirm that in a minute, he's been a pastor for over 30 years.
1:34.6	And we do share a little bit of I've found out some kind of common heritage as well in our
1:41.2	seminary training from the same kind of pool of thought. And so it's just been exciting to see
1:48.6	those kind of connections. Scott endorsed my first book, Heartfelt Discipline. So it came on my
1:55.7	radar then, I've been following him ever since, since the early 2000s. And it's just such a been a
2:01.3	delight to see what God has done with Scott's ministry over the years. So Scott, welcome to our
