What is up, you spooky bitches? We are back with another episode of the Hello Sydney podcast here, a podcast for horror lovers where we discuss any and all things horror. And it's me, your girl, Sydney. Happy Friday. I hope everybody had a lovely Christmas, whoever celebrates. I'm filming this on Christmas Eve. So it hasn't happened for me yet. But by the time you guys are listening to this, another year will be over, or at least Christmas will be over. Another year done. I hope everybody had a wonderful holiday season. I hope everybody ate good food and watched some fun holiday movies, probably some horror movies. I watched Crampus. I lost count at like eight this season. I don't know. I rewatch crampus so many times. Like I just put it on in the background anytime I'm doing something. Like I fucking love Crampus so much. So I watched Crampus a shit ton of times. Obviously I rewatched all the movies that I talked about this month. So that was fun. Oh, before we get into today's episode, I didn't do this last episode

because I heard about the news after I started recording this past episode. But rest in peace to

James Ransone, guys, I'm very upset. I want to take a moment for him. I'm very sad about that.

As you know, probably James Ransone plays Adult Eddie from It Chapter 2. And you guys know how deeply I love It. He also plays deputy so-and-so and sinister. He's the brother in the black phone. Like he's been showing up in horror movies and just movies in general forever. So absolutely devastated to hear that news about him. It's very, very upsetting. He was so young. I think he was

only like 46. So yeah, I was very upset to hear that news. But I mean, check on your friends.

Take care of yourselves. If you need help, it's out there. There's always an option. It's just very

sad because when people are in that mental state, they truly believe that the world is better off

without them. And that's just simply not true. So keep that in mind. I love you all. Rest in peace

to James. I'm glad that we will get to forever have him in cinema, in horror cinema. We'll

forever be able to watch him and remember him that way. Anyway, with that being said, now we're going to lighten the mood a bit because the movie that we're talking about today is fun as hell, if you ask me. I think this movie is such a blast. I don't think it gets talked about a whole lot because it was kind of one of those shutter releases, like a couple years ago, it just dropped on shutter randomly. This came out Christmas season, 23. And I feel like a lot of people don't talk about it, but it has Justin Long in it,

which a horror icon, anything with Justin Long, I am in. So immediately love that. But today

we're talking about it's a wonderful knife from 2023. Obviously, it's a play on it's a wonderful

life. And the plot follows that similarly, but twists it and makes it horror. And this it's a wonderful life and the plot follows that similarly but twists it

and makes it horror and this movie is about an hour and 27 minutes long and it has a 5.2 on

IMDB and a 55% on Rotten Tomatoes so ratings there aren't too far off from each other

critics kind of find it middle ground I don't think it's a great movie by any means like it's it's absolutely a little bit silly, but I do think it's a great slasher. I think it's a fun,

great Christmas slasher. And that's what I'm looking for. And that's why we're talking about it.

So it's a wonderful knife opens up. And we see this advertisement. And it's an advertisement for

this town called Angel Falls. And that's a play on It's a Wonderful Life because the town that that takes place, it is called Bedford Falls. I'm going all off hearsay, by the way, I've actually never seen It's a Wonderful Life, which I realized when I was watching this movie, and I'm like, damn, that's kind of fucked up, huh? Like, that's a classic. I should probably watch that. Maybe next Christmas season,

because now I feel like it's just too late. But anyway, we see this advertisement for this town

Angel Falls, and this advertisement is being done by the mayor of Angel Falls, whose name is

Henry Waters. And of course, this is Justin Long. And now we cut to the town square, the center
