to busy working women who also happen to be mothers about how they make it work.

I'm a singer and I've released seven albums in between having my five sons aged 16 months to 16

years, so I spin a few plates myself.

Being a mother can be the most amazing thing,

but can also be hard to find time for yourself

and your own ambitions.

I want to be a bit nosy and see how other people

balance everything.

Good day.

How are you? It's Saturday lunchtime. One o'clock. Just dropped off my 12-year-old at a go-car theme party. Rich has taken out three of the kids in a bike ride. My oldest boy is going to come over later to join us for supper.

And yeah, I feel like, what do I do now?

I've got like a tiny little window where there's no one around.

Unusual.

So I'm walking back to the house and I thought,

I'm going to get some bits and bobs for supper.

I'm loving having a weekend at home. I had last weekend at home as well.

And I have next weekend at home, as things are. So this is lovely.

The thing about being a musician is you often work weekends, you see, which is all fine and dandy,

but it is lovely to have a weekend at home.

And I've had a nice week.
