from 476 Barbury Street discussing the 22 horror film Barbarian. This film was written and directed

by Zach Kreger. Thanks in part to a masterful trailer that gave away nothing of the true plot of the

film, Barbarian shook the horror

community in 2022. This film shines in its ability to subvert audience expectation. Due in large

part to word of mouth, Barbarian was able to turn its $4.5 million budget into $45 million at the box

office, making it both a financial and critical success.

So, what did you guys think of Barbarian the first time you saw it?

I remember really liking this movie the first time. It was very weird, different.

I did have a good time. Watching it for the show, there's a few things that I, a few nitpicky things, I guess. And a couple of things I will say that I don't think are nitpicky, but they are just my kind of opinion. But you know what I mean? Just kind of, uh, things that I seen that I didn't kind of, I didn't find in my favor. Okay. But really good movie.

Like, it's a really good movie.

It still is.

Like, watching it again for the show, it still is.

I feel like now, and I've appreciated a lot.

Yeah.

Is it seems that every horror movie that comes out, it kind of has a moment on Twitter.

Mm-hmm.

And it is so refreshing to see horror celebrated.
