This week, we're broadcasting live from Ravenscar Hospital discussing the 2005 action horror film, Constantine.

This film was directed by Francis Lawrence from a screenplay by Kevin Broadbin and Frank Capello

based on the comic book Hellblazer written by Garth Innes and Jamie Delano.

Rather than a straightforward adaptation of one comic, Constantine combines story beats

and characters from various issues while also revising many details to better suit the vision

of the filmmakers. With a fantastic cast, ambitious ideas, and impressive visuals,

Constantine overcame a mixed reception from critics

to earn almost a quarter of a billion dollars at the box office.

So, Constantine, what were your first impressions on the film?

I remember watching this movie when it came out and never stopped watching it. I love this movie. This

movie is great. I remember watching it for the first time and I was like, oh, this is, I'll be

honest, I didn't know it was a comic at all. Like I didn't, I was just like, oh, this is a really

cool character. I learned later that it was a DC character.

And I was like, oh, so it, you know, this got to be a comic.

But the movie itself, I was like, this is fucking great.

I felt like the casting is perfect.

Like everything, everything kind of goes together.

Great.

Everybody plays off each other like the movie to me
