broadcasting live from the Herga Commune discussing the 2019 folk horror film, Midsummer. The film was

written and directed by Ari Aster, who made quite the splash with his feature directorial debut

Hereditary the year prior. While there's a fair amount of overlap in the themes of both films,

Midsummer is its own monster entirely,

drawing upon sub-genres of pagan horror and even slasher's.
