Hello, I'm Angus Scrim. Some time ago, word reached me that a gifted young filmmaker with whom I'd worked previously had a role for me in a new film.

I would play an alien, he said, and that was all he was going to tell me about it for the moment.

My mind raced with the dramatic possibilities. An eager immigrant from the old

country meeting the struggles, the heartbreaks, but the eventual triumphs in the land of opportunity, America.

Would I play an Irishman, a Russian, a Chinese?

I'd have to master the appropriate accent. Maybe I'd speak initially in another language.

I'd able a poor Quito, Espignole, I'm not Franca, a per-poon, per seep-fanc, a per-poon, perpousat-I, Nittnoy Crop.

The young filmmaker was Don Kaskarelli.

The role he offered me was an alien indeed a sinister tall man from another dimension

who plundered small town America's graveyards for dead bodies to be shipped back to his world as slaves.

He didn't speak with an accent.

About all he ever said was,

Boy!
