I want to welcome you to today's podcast.

My name is Ronnie Rosas, one of the student pastors here at Lifestyle Christianity University.

And it is my pleasure to introduce Cory Russell.

We have him in the house today.

And I am just like thrilled because we're going to talk about prayer. Yes. And prayer is something that makes me internally hyper because so much happens. Yes. Power prayer. And so just to, like, give a brief intro, you are, you and your wife Dana. Yes. I've been in ministry for years. Kansas City International House of Prayer. And then later

with Upper Room in Dallas. Your ministry name is burning. I want to get it right. Burning and

Shining Lamp Ministries. That's right. Can you give us a little bit of your background and just

what's happening? Absolutely. Well, it's an honor to be with you. And I'm an Arkansas boy originally.

All right. And so got radically saved February 18, 1997. I was a strung out drug addict and got hit by the power of God in a parking lot. And it was quite a story. It's kind of part of, I'll give a little bit about it,

but the short of it is,

is me and my best friend were deep into drugs,

but he had a Pentecostal praying mama who stormed the gates of heaven and hell

and went after her son and me.

And it went through about four months to where it was weird.

He wasn't talking.

He was still hanging out with us

but it was weird it culminated on february 1st 1997 i showed up at his house another day to hang out

he comes running out the front door screaming at me at the top of his lungs cori it's heaven or hell

it's heaven or hell you have to make a decision right now. His mom was at a conference three

days earlier and prayed him through. She saw a breakthrough on Sunday and saw it manifest on Thursday.

She led him through a three-day deliverance. He got saved and I got angry. I'd put up with a weirdo
