Hi, Real Lifers. Welcome to episode 147. I'm sure by now you've all watched the housewife and the hustler on Hulu.

And my God, I mean, we knew most of the facts, right? Those of us who've been following this case,

but to see them all laid out for us in this presentation, it just felt so icky, you know?

I felt awful that, you know,

Tom had been getting away with us

and Erica had been profiting,

whether she knew it or not,

off of these victims.

It was just really sad,

sad to see and to hear about.

But I was kind of invigorated by the two women who

really exposed Tom Girardi that were featured in the documentary. One who was the mother of

her son suffered very severe burns in the PG&E explosion back about 10 years ago.

And the other unfortunately lost her son in a motorcycle accident.

But these two women had been friends since they were children and helping each other out.

And one of them had worked for Tom Girardi at Gerardi Keese,

supporting some of his work for about seven or eight years.

And so they were able to kind of piece together this lawsuit against him.

And it's amazing what a mother's love can do and what these two best friends can do together.

And I hope justice will be served.
