As we dive into our second episode about Andy Weir's Artemis,

the follow up to his bestselling, beloved Oscar-nominated book, The Martian.

I'm just looking at my notes right now.

I wrote in my, the title for my notes is The Martian episode two.

That's so much I wanted it to be. I did not read The Martian, so fear not. I just somehow those

things are mixed up in my head, as you might understand. Yes, definitely. And, you know,

I don't know if I'll have time to get to this, but we have some people who have written in that are maybe re-evaluating their relationship with the beloved Martian in the light of...

Well, well, well, well, a little, man, the Klein things keep coming up.

It does.

So, yeah, they maybe have gone back to it and said, like, I guess, you know, maybe the signs were here all along. Maybe, uh, maybe this guy was telling us who he was, uh, in this first book. And we were just too caught up in the, in the epic awesome sauce of it all to, to really realize in the moment. But, uh, weird, you know, has made some choices in this book that I think we've, we've, we've, you know, disagreed with, to put it lightly.

But, you know, we always tease the people who, who don't read along with this.

Yes.

Because they're going in.

They're just missing out on some of the full picture, I guess, for the, for the comedy we're trying to present here.

But, man, do I envy them for this section?

Because we've got

something coming up in this episode that, uh, it just, what are the biggest unforced errors, I

think, in a book that we've ever encountered. And, uh, I just, I envy people who are going to

experience us talking about it for the first time. I, um, I, I got near this analogy before we started recording, but you know how you hire a, you know,

the star quarterback or something, you get him in the first round and everyone's happy.
