Abortion is not a topic that is often brought up in churches. We might mention it in broad strokes or when talking about politics, but too often pastors and whole churches are afraid to engage in it personally. But whether we face it or not, many women like Serena Dyksen are facing this issue quietly in one way or another. When Serena found herself pregnant as a teenager following a terrible sexual assault, abortion seemed like the only option. Little did she know the amount of repercussions, both psychological and physical, that she would carry with her for the rest of her life. Serena sits down with Davey to share a bit of her story and how she works to prevent others from making the same mistakes she did while also showing the love and grace of Christ to those who have. 0:29.0	We have an interview today with Serena Dixon, who, or whom, I guess I should say,
0:35.0	I have gotten to know pretty well over the past several months since our conversation.
0:39.0	And because she's a community group leader for us. And those of you guys who may not be familiar with this,
0:44.0	we have a platform online where you can connect with other people who are walking through
0:49.0	the same type of valley or pain point that you are walking through.
0:54.0	And not that I know of this does not exist anywhere else. I mean, this was kind of an idea that has evolved
1:01.0	over the past several, a couple of years, I guess. I was going to say several months.
1:05.0	But where we asked the question, can we connect people who are walking through the same valley?
1:09.0	And Serena, if people started coming to us and we've identified these folks would be great guides to help do this.
1:16.0	So there is a particular community group that is for women who are experiencing abortion,
1:23.0	abortion, regret, and recovery, you know. So they've had an abortion.
1:27.0	They're experiencing some kind of guilt or regret over that.
1:30.0	And they're looking to heal in a biblical way from that abortion.
1:34.0	And Serena, along with another one of her colleagues, they lead this group.
1:38.0	And I'm telling you, Aubrey, it's been unbelievable to watch over the past few months.
1:43.0	Since we just made some, like a little announcement on Instagram about Serena leading this group.
