I'm Kate. And I'm Renata. And this is our book year in review part two.

Yeah.

So if you miss the first part, we're going to go over sort of the rules that we have for ourselves for this year in review to make it a little clearer.

And then we will be talking about good books.

It's going to be like a high school paper. We're going to tell you how we're going to do the thing,

and then we're going to do the thing. And then we're going to trail off incoherently as we tell you about our social media.

Yes, sounds like us.

So this is our 2019 best and worst list, and that is best and worst outside of podcast reading.

Because obviously some of the books that we read for this podcast would very easily be the worst books we read in

2019. Yeah, I didn't read anything outside of the podcast that was worse than what I read for

the podcast. And thank goodness. Also, frequently, especially for me, worst, quote unquote, in this

case, frequently means just like least favorite. I in particular,

now that I no longer have a job where I have to read books for my job, if I don't like a book,

I stop reading it. So even my least favorite books are books that I enjoyed enough to finish.

Yeah, one of my least favorites is one that I didn't finish, but I got to talk about it.

So the rules don't matter.

Nothing matters.

Yes, Renata's rules are a little bit different because she is a librarian and thus

frequently reads books anyway.

Also, again, rules are arbitrary. We're just going to chase our bliss.

Speaking of arbitrary, time is also arbitrary, so we're not limited to things that were only
