Summary

In this week's review, I look at a little known Stephen King adaptation of a short story from his Nightmares and Dreamscapes publication, the Miguel Ferrer-starring vehicle: The Night Flier.   Starring Lloyd Henries himself, the classic character actor, Miguel Ferrer, we follow the escapades of sleazy tabloid reporter Richard Dees as he tries to track down the killer of a series of airport murders.  Will he find the Night Flier?  Will you stick around until the end of the movie to find out?  Did I?   Listen to this week's review for all of my thoughts on this little gem! Hello, everyone, and welcome to the Stephen Kingcast, one man's musings on the works of Stephen King.

0:04.0

Each week, I will review one entry in the bibliography of Stephen King and the chronological order of publication.

And just a note on this episode, before I get into the review itself, I, when this, well, actually, this is now the third time I am recording an introduction to

0:22.2

my review of the nightflower, nightflyer movie. The first time was just the original

0:29.0

review of the night flyer movie, but then I recorded an introduction upon the passing of

0:35.3

Miguel Farrar, the star. So I just wanted you to be aware that it begins with me kind of coming back to the night flyer

0:44.1

and talking about Miguel Farrar and his role in this movie.

0:48.9

And more importantly to me, his role as Special Agent Albert Rosenfield in David Lynch's twin,

0:57.0

and Mark Frost's Twin Peaks. So I just want to give you a heads up on that. And what's funny

1:02.5

is that when I was re-editing this episode, and I've been going back through each of my

1:09.1

episodes and doing a new intro and then doing a new conclusion, And if there's a Wikipedia summary that has music, I've been

1:14.1

re-recording that as well because I'm getting rid of all of the unlicensed audio that I've

1:18.8

originally recorded with. It's this episode where I first came up with in real time,

1:26.5

the outro,

1:28.4

um, may you have long days and pleasant nights. And I'll see you here next time where M. O.O.N spells Stephen Kingcast. And it's funny to, to be able to listen to me, kind of workshop it in real time. So unfortunately, I've, I've cut out that part of the podcast because it had the soundtrack to the the night flyer playing but

1:46.2

I just want to put a little bit of a note on this episode because it's now the third time it's

1:53.4

been re-recorded or has had has been you know re-edited and it was the first time when I

2:00.3

landed on a,

2:01.8

uh,

2:02.0

on that outro,

2:03.1

which,

2:03.4

um,
