Hi friends, welcome to another episode of That Sounds Fun. I'm your host Annie F. Downs. Hope you have a great, holy week and a great Easter. Glad to be back with you. Our music in the background is from our good friend Mr. John McLaughlin. Make sure you grab a copy of his album, Enx and Grace.

Today on the show is one of my oldest and dearest friends here in Nashville, Tennessee, Mr. Jeremy Cowart. If you've heard our first episode together, he was actually one of the very first people ever on the podcast. It's episode 17.

And so you know, kind of how we know each other. I used to be the nanny for his kids and helped him start help portrait. And so I just am such a huge fan of them. And his wife Shannon, who actually was also my real estate agent. She is an incredibly good real estate agent here in Nashville.

And she helped me buy my first house here, which is so fun. Jeremy is a photographer and artist and now also an author. His new book, I'm possible is really good. I think you're really going to like it. And I hope you enjoy this conversation with my friend Jeremy Cowart.

Okay, what did you want to say? What did you want to jump right into?

1:17.0

I finally listened to your episode with the one and only Santa Claus. Oh, what do you think? It's something right? It was like SNL worthy. Yeah, it was amazing.

1:29.0

I think it's going to be hard not to at least extend an invitation to Santa to come back. Whether he decides to come back or not is, I guess, up to his schedule. But yeah, he was pretty on the total side note. Don't you love Dave Barnes? Not delighted at all.

1:45.0

What's funny is about 13 years ago, long time ago, I did a, it just reminded me of this interview I did with this guy named Dave Barnes. Oh, right. And I was interviewing him as if he was my favorite photographer ever.

1:59.0

You know, I would ask him legitimate photography questions. Oh, I've seen these videos. Yeah, and his answers were I haven't thought about those in so long. So long time ago, those are really funny though. Okay, we're going to have to link to those because I have not. Are they still on your YouTube?

2:13.0

Yeah, it's buried on YouTube. So yeah, but it's still there. He and bear word. Yeah, from a fashion or from able. But yeah, how long have y'all been friends? We all friends in college? Yeah, Dave and I were in a band together for a minute. Oh, I didn't call it this. Yeah, he played drums for me and my brothers. Oh, wow. He was a drummer. Yeah, I'll never forget the first time I walked into his apartment because he was obsessed with people in Norman and Ed Cash. Yeah.

2:41.0

And I walked into his apartment. He and I and Mike ran together and he was playing this tape in the tape recorder. Yeah, it's like, oh, is that Bibo? He's like, no, it's me. It's like, I'm trying this for the first time. It's a gear. That's your voice. Yeah, I was blown away. Really? Yeah. Yeah. I can't blame him for being obsessed with Bibo Norman. Every college student from 1998 to 2002, I think was. Yeah, I mean, I was too. I was too. Yeah. Are you real life friends with him now? Yeah, Bibo. Yeah. I'm not. I'm working on it. I want to I want to I he feels like I'm trying to be a little bit more. I'm not going to be a little bit more. I'm not going to be a little bit more. I'm not going to be a little bit more. I'm not going to be a little bit more. I'm not going to be a

little bit more like a dream guest for the show. Yeah, he's awesome. Yeah. But he doesn't do music at all anymore. Yeah. We were all super comments. And then I'll never forget when Barnes came into my apartment. and Green Hills, like freaking out about this guy, this new album,

3:25.0

he just got about Escony Matt words. Really Yeah.

3:26.7

Yeah, I mean he was such a fan of words such a fan of Boebo, at guess.

3:33.3

And then that's his whole world. You'd always do this thing where he's bites his nails and listens real and tentally.

3:38.5

Uh-huh. Yeah. That's exactly right. That's really funny.

3:41.4

Or throwing his hair. Uh-huh. And were you already doing photography back then?

3:45.5

No, I was doing graphic design and trying to try to figure out, you know, just doing a little bit of everything.

3:51.6

I did do a photoshoot for Dave in front of a trash dumpster, which was the cover of his first EP.

3:58.5

Three then four I think. So we were really creative. Oh my gosh.

4:03.0

That is really funny. That's how, you know, this is your second episode as you'll call we did.

4:06.8

We recorded one talking about purpose hotel, but I want to talk about purpose hotel again today.
