My name is Mel, I'm Helen, and I'm Janet.

On our previous episode, we talked about the mid-autumn moon festival,

and we reviewed more kind of of the different types of ways that we celebrate the holiday.

But this episode, we want to dig deeper into the core concepts of why this holiday exists

and apply them to our lives right now.

And the mid-autumn festival was very recent. It was on September 21st on the Western calendar.

On the lunar calendar, I believe it always happens on like the second, usually happens within mid-August.

So in light of us, just recently celebrating together and, you know, focusing on the moon,

thinking about gathering, we're going to dig a little deeper today into the deeper concepts

and meanings within this holiday and what they mean to us right now.

So in this holiday, we've discussed a lot of kind of like the ways that we celebrate,

some of the physical actions and the things that we eat.

But we wanted to dig deeper into this episode to really understand the meaning of why we celebrate

this holiday for it to connect to each individual on a deeper level, right?

So when we talk about the moon, in ancient Chinese culture, they oftentimes connected the moon

with this idea of rejuvenation and also with like water. So this is why we talk about with the

women's menstruation. They called women's periods basically monthly water, right? It's like a

monthly like cleansing, renewing, restoring if you want to think of it that way. So on this idea

of rejuvenation and renewal and restoration, how do you ladies plan to think about renewing

yourselves, restoring yourselves and giving yourselves energy during this fall season?
