I don't think we realize fully the mess that the things were when Jesus came as a baby.

I mean, you know what had happened in the, what are they called the Intertestimal, Interestimental period?

revolt and whatnot things were politically divided they're unbelievably messy they were dangerous

there was injustice going on.

There was horrible stuff happening to people.

A lot of fear.

Huge fear.

And into that comes this announcement that the kingdom is here, you know, that there's been a baby.

To shepherds, by the way, but how awesome

is that to think about in light of our own mess, and we can think, yeah, but the world's never

been like this. Oh, no. God knows what the world is like. He knows exactly what it's like to be in this.
