a guest on that I really want you to hear her

story Rachel Perry wrote to me after she read the great sex rescue to tell me

that what we said about vaginismus really touched her because she had had a horrific

journey with Vaginismus. She had found healing and she recovered, but it was only in reading the Great Sex Rescue that she started to

understand some of the why behind her struggle with Vaginismismus and she wrote her story up for me.

I loved it so much that I asked if she would publish it on her blog and she

did and I linked to it yesterday so that you all could read it. And today I wanted to bring her

on just to talk about what it was like, having this thing that you didn't even have a word for, and getting help, especially when no one seemed to know what to do, and what it was like to live for so long with this without any help.

So here is Rachel bringing us her story.

Yes.

Which is a word that I am very passionate about teaching people what it is.

So do you want to describe what it is? Me too. Right. Well, Vaginissimus, there is a range, but for me with primary Vaginissus, that refers to difficulty with sex, ranging from severe pain, which can be chronic ongoing pain all the way up to an inability to achieve penetration of any kind.
