have to go through. And it's not hyperbole to say that we are happy he survived.

Derek was out for an easy spin on quiet roads, close to his house, roads he knows well,

and he was hit by a car at what is estimated at 65 miles per hour. A hit and run, a situation in which there's quite

frankly no way the driver didn't know that he hit Derek and frankly left him for dead,
