Well, hi there. Happy Christmas Day to everybody. It's day two of the T.B.T.L. Top 7, which brings us to episode, what is, I don't, I don't do math.

I don't do math. Is it 42? Was Friday? It's 7.45. It might be 6. This is probably, they say don't do math on the radio. I'm going to go with 6. This, yesterday was 7. We're counting down to 1. This would be 6.

The 6th best episode of T.B.T.L. as argued by our listeners today. It's listener Laura.

Listener Laura says I would like to submit a show from April 26, 2010. My reason for choosing this show is that it's the first one I ever listened to after following Luke from Weight Weight. Don't tell me.

She literally followed you. Yeah, out of the theater. She was like two car paces back. She was like a deniro in Cape Fear.

She'd been under the car all the way from Illinois back to Seattle. It was utterly terrifying when I, when I realized that. She says I was immediately hooked because the crazy story about the running with the weirdos at the Mandarin Gate.

I had no idea who Jen was yet. I immediately responded to her take on the situation. I've been a loyal listener ever since.

Now, I like this suggestion because the Mandarin Gate is one of those places that is like, it's like our clubhouse. We're always referencing it.

And if part of this exercise this week of the T.B.T.L. Top 7 is to kind of illuminate some of the sort of foundational locations and narratives of T.B.T.L.

The Mandarin Gate has to be right up there. This, I believe, if I've got the episode right, I believe that this episode was recorded shortly after we were all at the Mandarin Gate.

A guy was wearing his sunglasses indoors. Which, come on. That's what I thought. I went up on stage. I reworked the lyrics to the song against all odds to be about what a douche this guy was. He did not enjoy that.

And without spoiling too much, I'll just say he called his brother to come fight.

People who really want to have a good time won't come to a slaughterhouse. And we've gotten entirely too many trouble makers here.

Too many, uh, 40-year-old adolescents, felons, power drinkers, and trustees of modern chemistry. It's going to change.

And that sure sounds good. But a lot of the guys who come in here, we can't handle one-on-one. Even two-on-one.

Don't worry about it. All you have to do is follow three simple rules. One, never underestimate your opponent. Expect the unexpected.

Two, take it outside. Never start anything inside the barn, unless it's absolutely necessary.

And three, be nice.
