Oh Lord, to hold on to your promises, Lord, when we are in the middle of a battle or struggle,

Lord, I pray that we would do so.

I pray that you would continually draw us close to you, Lord, and that we would seek you, search for you, Lord.

We thank you, Lord, for this morning.

Good morning. Welcome. You can be seated. Glad you're here. Those of you joining us online,

we're glad that you are as well. All right, Well, before we get started, I want to thank everyone who reached out to us,

those of you online concerning these unprecedented fires on the island of Maui.

We, of course, are here on the island of Oahu. We of course are here on the island of Oahu and as such are

unaffected. However, I do want to share with you what we're doing as a church.

While there is certainly more to this as more information becomes available. I'm not going to take the

time to address that aspect of it today. I don't think it's the right time nor would it be appropriate.

And the reason being is that we as a church are focusing on meeting the immediate needs of our Maui Ohana,

of which there are many. And for those asking about donating, and this is very important,

please, please, please be very careful and prayerful because

there are many scams from many people asking for money for Maui, which we would never
