Would you join me in a word of prayer?

Heavenly Father, there may be some things that is just heavy on our hearts this evening, Lord.

And we do lift up those who, Lord, on Maui in Lahaina, Lord.

We just pray for comfort, Lord.

We pray that you would call those who have survived, Lord,

that would you call them to you, Lord? Would you bring them to you, Lord? We thank you for this time that we can gather today and learn your word.

Would you bless this time and bless this teaching, Lord? In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen. Amen. And amen. Good evening to you.

Well, doubtless you have heard, I mean, it's just horrific and unthinkable.

And actually, this is already outdated.

And this was earlier this afternoon.

So the death toll, of course, is increasing,

the missing, the number of missing.

It is just unimaginable.

And so before we get started, I wanted to first, we've had a lot of people that have reached

out to us concerning the fires.

And we just want to let you know, for those of you who don't

know, that of course, we're on the island of Oahu and this is on the island of Maui. So

we are unaffected, but not really. I mean, this has affected us sort of by proxy

because these are our fellow brothers and sisters

there on that island.

And it's like, it's not, it's surreal.
