And the Hey folks, welcome to this little behind the scenes, look at our Paul McCartney special. We thought people

might be interested in hearing how the whole thing came together so we

decided to record this as a little piece of bonus content.

Yeah to give a little bit history we're both as many of you will know, huge Beatles and poor fans,

I was plundering my dad's Beatles albums at the age of 10, I think, and developed a particular

funds for Abbey Road and the White Album and kind of without knowing it

gravitated to Paul's songs in particular. I remember Maxwell Silver Hammer was

one, used to just repeatedly wind that back over and over again, love that song.

It was kind of dismayed later on when it became a sort of much derided entry in the Beatles

canon, which I think is very unfair, but don't get me started on that. But yeah and then when Simon and I started playing in a band together when we're about 14 15 we both gained a much deeper appreciation of this songwriting abilities, didn't we?

Yeah, and we both went on to attend Lippa, didn't we? So if you don't know, the Liverpool Institute for Performing

Art is a school where you can study for a BA in all kinds of different aspects of the entertainment industries

but we studied music there and graduated from there and as a result of that graduation got to

meet Paul or at least shake hands with him.

Well you did, yeah. I did a diploma there so I got my diploma through the post.

But I met him a couple of years after you did very briefly while loitering in a corridor there one day.

And we were actually at the first ever Lippa graduation ceremony too, weren't we back in 98?

That was right after Linda had passed the way.

It was, yeah, they had it in the Paul McCartney Auditorium within Lipper.

They have it with the film on a call now,

but they held it within Lipper itself then,

and Paul made the surprise appearance. Yeah he wasn't expected to
