Have you ever watched any of those videos in which Irish people try

weird food from around the world? I did recently and something stuck out to me. Many of the people

on that show aren't really used to Mexican food.

I mean, they know what it is, they've had Mexican food, but it's still just a little exotic.

Sort of how for some Americans, a good Indian curry might be a little bit exciting.

But on the other hand, going out for tamales isn't exactly exotic to most of us.

Delicious, yeah, but not exotic.

On the inverse, for people in the British Isles,

grabbing a curry is an absolutely everyday affair.
