Hill, I'm so glad you're here. You wrote today's Devo, and I noticed you highlighted in your Devo, which for listeners

who don't know, they can find it, join the journey.com, Mark 2 versus 8 through 10.

Okay.

And immediately, Jesus, perceiving in his spirit that they thus questioned within themselves, said to them,

why do you question these things in your heart? Which is easier to say to the paralytic, your sins are

forgiven, or to say, rise, take up your bed and walk, but that you may know that the son of man

has authority on earth to forgive sins. He's got authority. Hill, why Mark 2, why this

passage, how does this chapter speak to your story specifically? I think that it's so interesting

to see the battle that Jesus fights from the beginning of Mark of religion versus a relationship. That's why I picked Mark

2. It really goes back and shows when I look back at my life, what I see is a person that was

uninterested in God for most of my childhood. I just didn't care. But when I got down to it,

what I thought it was, was a religion, was a do's and don'ts, try to do this, try to do that.

And I knew I wasn't good enough to do that. So I just rebelled. Sure. Flesh that out a little bit

more for me. You were teenager? Younger. You can say I started a rebelled. Sure. Flesh that out a little bit more for me.
