I was so pleased to learn recently that I asked someone from England,

do you have English muffins in England?

Because I honestly wasn't sure whether it was some American thing.

Yes, they do. Oh, are they the same thing that we think

of as English muffins? I believe so. If I'm wrong I know we will hear about it. You know what we need to be sure to

discuss today? The difference between English muffins and crumpets.

Oh, you know what? I had that same thought this morning and I was saying, wait,

should we mention crumpets on our English muffin episode?

We just broke the crumpets.

So yes, we did.

The difference between English muffins and crumpets well crumets are so

smooth and and like the the holes that the butter drips down into is the whole point of

a crumpet right mhm mhm but English muffins it's more about the craggy crunchiness.

Well, you'd also never split a crumpet.
