Happy May! It was raining while we recorded this. This week, Annie and Chris talk about the books they read in April. So I have a funny kid's story from Indie Bookstore Day.

So Izzy, one of our storytime regulars, walks into the store at like a quarter till 11 for

what she assumes is going to be regular story time.

And it's so funny because kids just tell it like it is. So she came right in,

ran up to me, what is everybody doing here? Like, why was the store crowded? Because you

know as well as I do that on Saturdays, we are pretty slow until stories time. And so she was

looking around at like these people, like,

what are they doing here?

And I, being so excited and in such a good mood, was like,

Izzy, it's indie bookstore day.

And she looked devastated, like just this complete look.

And I was like, what's the matter?

And she goes, it's end of this bookstore

you're gonna close forever and I was like no no it's indie bookstore day independent

bookser day and she I said what did you think I said? And she said, I thought you said, end of bookstore day.
