of academia. I'm Alex Westwood, Andrea C. Bassatti, and welcome back. I've always wanted to say

Andrea, I'm your number one fan. Are you? Yeah, it's nice. And now we're just locked in a little

room together. I just made sure to close the door. It's nice and cozy in here on a cold winter's day.

Yes, I think this was a very appropriate selection for February. It's a short month, you know,

it's the kind of month where you batten down and maybe try to do some things that you've been

putting off and the walls can be like they're closing in. They really can. And I have to say on

the list of films that we have to do on this show, Missouri has been on there for a long time.

That's it. Yeah, it's like one of us mentioned it. We're like, yeah, yeah, we got to do it. So I'm glad

that we've pulled the trigger and we're now diving into it because I come back to this movie like

every couple years and rewatch it. I just think it's so wonderful and so singular, but also

such a great addition to what we talk about when we talk about Stephen King. I really enjoyed coming

back to it to do this research. I had seen it so, so long ago and I never really came back to it.

And I wanted to revisit the book, which again, like so many of Stephen King stories, I read when I

was way too young to pick up on all the nuance, everything that's going on. And so looking back

on it with fresh eyes, I couldn't find my physical copy anywhere. Someone listening to this is

borrowed it. Fucking want to back. Got a nice, dearly loved, very doggy and Stephen King paperback

collection and Missouri is now missing from it. So I checked out the audiobook and I enjoyed it

so, so, so much. I actually just finished it in like about 40 minutes before we started recording.

So it's very fresh. My only complaint was Simon and Schuster who made the audiobook added
