we're broadcasting live from the Wilson Street Factory discussing the 2005 horror sequel, Saw 2.

This film was directed by Darren Lynn Bousman from a script by Bousman and Lee Winell. Following

the unexpected success of Saw, which raked in almost a hundred times its production budget,

producers rightfully began planning a follow-up. A Saw-like screenplay from Bausman eventually caught

their attention, and after a page one rewrite from series co-creator Wynnell, the project moved forward

as a sequel. With gruesome set pieces, a memorable twist ending, and a deeper dive into the mind and morality

of the jigsaw killer, Saw 2 would go on to achieve incredible box office success and prove the series

possessed franchise potential. This film was recommended to us by friend of the show,
