Hello and welcome to the Pink Bike Racing Podcast, where we the jaunce and japerie of our World

Cup racing team as we go from place to place and town to town. On this podcast we have me,

Henry Quinney and this week I'm joined by team manager extraordinaire and non-neuphemistic

trailer packing expert Mr Ben Cathrow as well as Pink Bike's very own James Smurfweight. Now. Now, in this podcast, we try and keep it authentic,

so we just get some hot coffee, we pull over the van en route to our next stop,

and we talk about all the things that have just passed,

both as an honest assessment of our own race,

as well as a reflection of the event as a whole.

Now, this time we're on the roadside next to the Lord's train station as we drop off James.

So there might be some traffic noise and if you listen carefully you might be able to hear the odd citron breaking down.

But let's get on to the race. So firstly Ben, let's talk about the timing of the events.

Because it's early season and in some ways the organisers were playing with fire because if it had rained

they would have been slated due to the events of five years ago where we had a very badly affected race

by the weather but there were other teething problems too so the weather was beautiful it was

it was a great success on that front but can you just talk about the rider's experience of the upless service and practice?

So yeah, the timing was super early for us.

And, yeah, like you said, the weather was actually amazing.

And it was perfect.

Like it wasn't too warm.
