strength for victims of some of the most unthinkable atrocities.

It is often a force for good, providing hope in dark times, bringing communities together,

and offering comfort to those who need it most. But of course, religion can also be perverted in an attempt to justify acts of pure violence and hatred.

When human beings believe that God is on their side, they are capable of doing anything. One evening David got up from his bed,
