Today we're talking about something really interesting that I hope everyone pays attention

to, whether you are interested in these issues, or you come from a Mormon background, one of the Mormon groups, or you are living in the Inner Mountain West and you live in Utah or Arizona.

This is a very important topic that I think everyone needs to understand.

We're going to talk about what is going on in the town of Short Creek, which is, of course, Hilldale, Utah, and Colorado

City, Arizona. And it's most famously known for hosting sort of the headquarters of the

FLDS. In the last 20 years or so, Warren Jeff's has sort of really consolidated his religious group down in Short Creek.

And of course, we've talked about the history of Short Creek on the podcast. But now it's sort of

in a big transitional period. And we're going to talk with some people who are part of that

transition, people that are going to know these issues probably better than

anyone else. So I'm really excited today to welcome Shirley Draper, who some of you might know,

she's involved in a lot of activism. She's helped a lot of people get resources in the town

when there was absolutely nothing. shirley grew up in

in the community and now she works tirelessly to help this community and she's also on the board
