I made Brenda Gordon a promise 20 years ago.

Because one of her biggest fears was that people would forget about Trudy.

Heaven forbid this should go on for years, which it has.

She didn't want people to forget about her and forget that she's still out there somewhere and she's still missing and yes she was a real little girl and I promised her 20 years ago that I really couldn't do much but I

would do everything in my power to make sure that nobody forgot about her as

long as she was missing.

That was Kelly Carlson. She was an adult in 1996 when 11 year old Trudy Appleby disappeared from her home in Moline, Illinois, a small

city about 2.5 hours west of Chicago.
