When you're like, something's going on, but I don't know what.

Your mind goes a million different directions. It's the same thing for our kids. And so when we aren't frank and honest,

we can actually really create a lot more anxiety for our kids.

She understands that foster care comes with grief and loss. And today we're going to

talk about the hard goodbyes. Saying goodbye to the child you've been foster parenting is one of the most

heart-wrenching times as a foster parent. Every foster parent knows to prepare for this,

but that doesn't make it easy or hurt less.

As you prepare for them to make this transition well, it can be overwhelming to know what to do

and how to do it. What are the right words to say? How do I help them navigate their feelings?

And then if there are other children in the house who are staying, whether they're biological,

adopted, or have a different case in foster care, they too have to navigate the hard goodbye.

So many hearts to care for, not to mention your own.
