Hello and welcome to the podcast for Outlander episode 106 the Garrison

Commander I'm Ronald D. Moore executive producer and developer of the

Outlander television series and I am not in Scotland for this broadcast. I am in sunny, hot, and generally

horrible Los Angeles. My lovely and talented wife is back in Scotland, so that means I am joined solely by our obnoxious cats,

Oliver, Ella, Sebastian, and of course Romeo, who will attempt to annoy and distract me whenever possible during the broadcast.

A smoking lamp is on or lit rather and the scotch is the Glen Maranguly

nectar dior. All right, well, this is, I think, one of our best episodes.

This was an interesting process of adaptation for this particular episode. This was one of the most memorable moments

in the book in my first read and I think it's one of the most memorable encounters for the fans of the

series is when Claire finds herself in the clutches of Black Jack Randall for the first time

since the beginning.

It's a very memorable event in the book.

I did purposely put that watch, the 20th century watch next to the 18th century

shaving paraphernalia is just sort of a touch to sort of you know to just a hint of

the duality of Frank and Blackjack and I just kind of like that.

But anyway, it's a memorable section of the book

and everybody talks about and it's one of those most memorable passages

that you're looking forward to as a fan,
