Yeah, I'm not sure why I've never shared that on this podcast before. I've certainly shared a lot of ideas and thoughts, you know, that originated in that piece.

As I mentioned in this week's episode, I first used the phrase,

I had been asked to speak to the question of why I stay. And the journey of writing that essay

was a life-changing experience for me. I'd never formally asked myself, and the thought of

answering it in front of hundreds of people was terrifying for someone

who's usually too terrified to make a comment in gospel doctrine.

It was the beginning of speaking up, using my real voice in front of real people to not only answer a big question, but acknowledge it is a question for me.
