| 0:00.0 | Hi guys and welcome back to the show. You're listening to Style Your Mind. I am your host, |
| 0:06.2 | Carol Al-Walaba, and I am so happy to be back with you today. This is a big week for me. |
| 0:12.3 | My new book, Like She Owns the Place, just came out. We launched in the U.S. on Tuesday and in the |
| 0:18.5 | UK on Thursday, so the book is officially out there. And it has been one of the |
| 0:23.3 | most exhilarating and exhausting experiences of my career. It's been nothing short of epic. I am so |
| 0:30.5 | thankful that this book is now out there. And so many of you have been giving me like real time |
| 0:35.6 | feedback, like messaging me saying I'm six pages |
| 0:38.3 | in and I'm obsessed or you know I sat down and I read the book in two days and it just makes me |
| 0:43.4 | feel so so happy so I wanted to come on here and just blast across a message to all of you |
| 0:50.7 | that I am so very grateful and it means so much to me to hear that you're loving |

| 1:06.2 | is kind of like the art side, the writer side, the creative side, I'm also getting a lot of people asking |
| 1:12.5 | me questions about the book sales. And it's interesting when people say things to you like, |
| 1:17.0 | congratulations, do you have numbers yet? Or, oh, I'm so happy the book is out. How many copies have |
| 1:21.9 | you sold? And honestly, I'm not even thinking about that. Like, that is not even my, my goal with this book. I mean, |
| 1:30.9 | obviously, I want to reach as many women as possible. And I think, you know, metrics like that |
| 1:35.2 | obviously come in handy because we want our message to get out there. So if you tell me I've |
| 1:39.4 | sold a million books versus 100, yeah, of course, I want a million women to read my work. But my measure of success |
| 1:45.9 | is the impact on the lives that I am affecting with this book. It is the impact that it's having |
| 1:52.8 | on the readers. And that's really truly always been my measure of success. I said 10 years ago when I started |
