So as my long-time listeners will know, I have invented a character named Luther Ray Abel.

Entirely fictional. Backstory is he lives in Wisconsin, has a beard, was in the Navy.

And he occasionally pops up on this podcast, obviously voiced by me with my prodigious

talent for impressions and light opera.

And Luther and I, well, I, with a cardboard cutout of what I imagine Luther to look like

in one seat, take these trips that we write up for

the magazine that we have taken to loosely describing as whiz bangs. A couple of years ago,

we took a whiz bang trip in which we rode a whole bunch of roller coasters in Ohio and Pennsylvania and California

and sorry Luther Illinois.

This time we did the South.

Instead of our Whizbang roller coaster adventure, we took Charlie and Luther's hollering neon Dixieland

Whizbang Adventure.

And we've just written this up.

Well, Luther doesn't exist, so I've just written this up for the magazine.

And we thought, I thought, that I would do a podcast on the topic of our trip through the South.
