we have no special guest today because we thought we were long overdue for some truly

rank, punditry and pop culture popery so it's just me and my major

having a guest today I mean how could we who could we have had next after

having Thomas Soul and your wife yeah oh we did have Michael Brennan Dordey

after that yeah who's no slouch no he's no slouch that was it was very nice and in

fact this week's episode is brought to you by Sentinel Books the publisher of

My Father Left Me Ireland by National Reviews own Michael Brennan Dordey we'll

talk more about that in a little bit so yeah so the feedback I mean the feedback

from Michael Brennan Dordey was was what you would expect Michael's a brilliant

guy it's an interesting book blah blah blah blah blah it's really it's a

wonderful book to read or to give people as a gift and all that stuff

particularly for Father's Day but the feedback on the Tom Soul and Jessica or

I should say JG Prime episodes was probably the best we've ever had I would

say possible exception of maybe like some early Ben Sass hysteria yeah but

and it's funny how many people felt compelled to say on Twitter how much they

like my wife more than me now and I have to say there are a couple things I you

know you always have Esprit de Scalier which for listeners who are not interested in

French terms that sound really hoity-toity is basically that feeling you have

where you sit where you like I wish I'd said X you know as a comeback the

jerk store called exactly they want you back and so whenever you do this podcast
