Episode 100 is finally here, just in time for 2019.

We've just wrapped up our current story and we're about to move on to a big new

chapter in the history of Pirates and Piracy. It's going to begin where we left off before talking

about the Barbary pirates.

But we've been talking about Barbary for some time now, six or seven months, and I thought that

a refresher might be in order before moving on. And I was always intending to do that, but it worked out

in such a way that this transition occurred on our 100th episode and at the beginning of the

new year. Now I'm not the beginning of the new year.

Now I'm not the sort of storyteller who can map something out that carefully.

It's just kind of a lucky break, but it occurred to me that this might be a good time to do something interesting and maybe fun.

I know that for some people, 100 episodes is a lot of time to invest in a new show.
